2016 January Pub Con! ２０１６年１月のパブコン！
January 31st we had another fun day down at the ole watering hole, Good Heavens!.
１月３１日もGood Heavens!で楽しい一日を過ごしました。
I finally got to play my Irish Saga warband that I painted over the winter holiday. Saga is a great game set in the Dark Ages for 28mm toy soldiers.
僕はやっと、冬休み中にペイントしたアイルランド民族の軍隊を、Sagaで使うことができました。
「Saga」とは暗黒時代を舞台にした、２８mmウォーゲームです。
Our friends from Asia-Pacific Advanced Squad Leader came, and we hope to continue to see ASL at Pub Con.
Asia-Pacific Advanced Squad Leaderもきてくださいました。
これからも、A-PASLがパブコンに参加してくれるのを楽しみにしています。
The layout of the pub was different this time, and it was great. The miniature players could stand and walk around the tables, and the board gamers had more room to sit big groups around the tables.
１月のパブの配置はいつもとちょっと違いましたが、凄くよかったです。
ミニチュアゲーマー達は、立って歩き回りながら、ゲームをできるようになりました。
ボードゲーマー達は、大人数で一つのテーブルを囲んで、ゲームができました。
Finally I want to mention our great new breakfast item that is brought in especially for us. The bacon butty. Its like a BLT but without all those annoying vegetables. Get one early before they run out.
朝、早めに来られる方に新しいメニューを紹介したいと思います。
「Bacon Butty」というイギリスの朝食の定番、ベーコンと食パンのサンドイッチです。
どうぞ、試してみて下さい。

Happy New Year! あけましておめでとうございます!
Despite many people heading overseas for the holidays, we had quite the turnout in December!
年末年新で海外に出る人が多いにもかかわらず、大勢にお越しいただきました。
More people came for the turkey dinner than was expected, hence the delay getting the food out. Now that I know how popular this event is, I will make sure that next year runs more smoothly.

ターキーディナーの目当てに、予想以上にたくさんの方が参加されたので、料理が行き渡るのが遅くなり、申し訳ありませんでした。
このイベントはこんなに人気だと分かりましたので、来年はもっと円滑に進められるように頑張ります。

December Special Event 12月の特別イベント
日本語版が下にあります。
I'm really excited about this upcoming Pub Con, on December 27th because not only will my brother, who is visiting from the States, be joining in on the fun, but I will get to have my first British Christmas dinner!
We will have the entire bar to ourselves from 10 am until 10 pm. Starting after 5, if you want to stay, you'll need to order the Turkey dinner
The dinner is a special deal just for us: 2000yen for 1 drink and turkey with at least 2 veg plus mash or roast potatoes, cranberry sauce stuffing and gravy with some xmas pudding and mince pies and ice cream for desert.
If you haven't been to Pub Con in a while, I want to reassure you that we have added new 3 new lights, and the interior is much brighter after sun down!You don't have to come to the afternoon session to come to this event. Please join in if you can!

Here are the pictures from last month!
We have (at least) three new lights which brighten the place up considerably more than before.
Also we have a total of 3 tables owned by the club now, which helps make sure everyone has a place to play what they want.
I'm very excited for next month when I'll have my Irish Saga warband finished, and hopefully some better rules to try out Rorke's Drift with.
