Breakout from Vladivostok!

Bditelni leads Bezposhtchadni, Boevoi, and Boiki on a torpedo attack on the Japanese fleet.  1/2400 Panzerschiffes resin models.  Cheap 'n cheerful!

Torpedo boats and destroyers are tiny even in this scale, and are based in groups on 60mm square bases.  Other ships are based individually.  Not all the models will be based as nicely as this one, but I'm working on it.

I've put together a scenario- loosely historically based- for the game on Saturday.  In between trying like a madman to get as many as possible of my ships based and labelled (I don't know how many of you may be familiar with RJ-War ships, so adding names will make things go faster).

Click here to read the scenario.  Four or more players, depending on how many people show up I can change forces accordingly.  I'll post the order of battle soon.  Luckily, the rules require no bookkeeping.  But does anyone have any white golf tees to use as hit markers?

Don't expect the Yamato and salvoes of 18'' shells raining down in buckets here- we're way down the technological ladder in 1904!

  1. HI Robert,

Great looking photo, I am looking forward to play the game! We might be more than four people in which case we might switch to another game on another table.

If you need help to base and paint I can come over one evening and perhaps we can have it done!

    Let me know

  2. I may take you up on that rash offer, Giovanni. I'll see how many bases I can get painted and labelled tomorrow. If I need help, I'll raise the distress signal on Thursday morning.

At this point in time, I just want to paint bases and add the ship names. The models themselves were cast in grey resin with the funnels topped with black, so will do for now, especially for the Japanese.

Russian paint schemes were quite unique and getting them all done in the correct colours will be a major undertaking.
